Events Calendar
On the events calendar, you can find information about maternal health related events throughout the world.
Partner Channel
The Partner Channel provides a place where you can look forward to finding out what others in our field are doing, thinking, and planning. We envision the Channel becoming a forum for institutional knowledge sharing across a variety of sectors. We look forward to many new Partners from allied fields joining us to expand the maternal health dialogue. Together, we can broaden the reach and impact of maternal health information.
Policy Dialogue Series
The MHTF, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), is supporting the Maternal Health Policy Dialogue Series at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars (WWIC) in Washington, DC. The series is covering a range of new and neglected maternal health issues, with a strategic focus on linkages to other development sectors such as transportation, gender equity, religion, and economic development. Tapping expertise from around the world, especially from experts working in developing countries, the series is being conducted in Washington and webcast live. Audiences for these dialogues at the Woodrow Wilson Center usually comprise senior-level policy makers and civil servants from the US Government and from foreign consuls and missions located in Washington DC.
Projects
The MHTF has a mandate to advance maternal health by supporting and collaborating with leading institutions in the field, as well as with those working in allied fields. To this end, the MHTF provides support for projects that fall under three thematic areas: Evidence, Programs, and Policy.
Young Champions of Maternal Health
The MHTF and Ashoka have partnered to create an innovative new program that transforms the field of maternal health globally. The Young Champions of Maternal Health Program is the first-ever international fellowship to focus on supporting a new generation of global leaders dedicated to improving maternal health. The Young Champions, selected through Ashoka's Changemakers.com online competition and a rigorous interview process, will spend nine months abroad working with and being mentored by an Ashoka Fellow with expertise in maternal health.
